Description
8-10 x 2 inch round, creamy globe. White flesh with light green skin. Used in soups or stews, and is similar to cabbage hearts. Cook like turnips or serve as a delicious raw veggie dip, where the taste is like water chestnuts. Sow directly outdoors as soon as the ground can be worked. Cold weather crop that likes rich moist soil. Keep well watered during the growing season. Plant near beets, lettuce, onions but not near tomatoes or beans.
