Large heads of deepest purple, with a medium length and rounded shape makes this eggplant very attractive, either in the vegetable plot or on the patio in containers. Eggplants like hot weather and should be planted in the warmest, sunniest spot in your garden; alternatively, grow them under glass like hothouse tomatoes (these plants are actually quite closely related).

Seed should be started indoors 7-8 weeks before the last frost date. Plant outside once all danger of frost has passed and the temperature will not dip below 7C (45F).
