Perennials

The exact definition of perennials is a plant which lives two years or longer and flowers each year after reaching maturity. For most gardeners, the term generally refers to herbaceous (non-woody) plants that grow and flower when the growing season starts, then die back down to the ground in late autumn, remain dormant through the winter, and regrow next spring. The term generally also includes many non-woody evergreens and subshrubs with a woody base.
