We very much like this variety, with its funny shaped fruit, similar to a scalloped edged custard pie. It has a good flavour, especially when young. Very decorative cut in half and stuffed.
Old-fashioned favorite. White 'pattypan' type squash are tender, mild, tasty. Best at 4 to 6 in. A treat when fried. 50 days. 9 hills. 4.5 g.
60 days. Bright, deep yellow pattypans look like little jewels with green hats nestling in a big bush. Gourmet growers will want to give this a warm site and extra nutrition to coax production of 5cm (2 in.) squash.
