Description

The dark cone at the centre shows its relationship to the purple variety, but these creamy white blossoms can stand on their own. A bit shorter and less vigorous than the purple variety but useful in the garden in sun or part shade.

Easy to start from seed, very hardy, sun or part shade, to 90cm (3 ft) tall, drought tolerant. Start seeds in a nursery bed and move to a permanent spot at the back of the border. Approx. 200 seeds/g.

Echinacea is derived from the Greek word for hedgehog and refers to the sharp spines on the flower head. This plant is native to North America, especially across the central prairie regions.
