The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew in England is an important scientific research institution, as well as being an extremely popular international tourist destination. Kew grows more species in its 300 acres than any other garden in the world. The magnificent glasshouses, including the famous Palm House built by Decimus Burton, display a wide range of plants from rainforest to desert and provide the visitor wtih a visual and fragrant treat whatever the time of year.
