Description
A deciduous or semi-evergreen twining climber, this plant is usually grown as an annual. It has 3 lobed leaves, and one-sided racemes of small tubular flowers. They are dark red, then fade to orange and finally yellow, and it flowers freely in the summer. Can grow to 15’ (5m) long.
Plant in full sun in rich, well-drained soil that should be a little damp. Propagate by seed in spring. Moderately frost hardy.
