Description
Now very popular in supermarkets and greengrocers for autumn salads. Firm red hearts with attractive white veins.
Sow mid May to mid August, earlier sowings may induce bolting (running to seed). Not frost hardy, so protect with cloches to prolong the season. Note: heads show deeper red colour as day length shortens.
